It is interesting that tweet you shared. By the start of December, just a few weeks ago. I got two offers. Both were great offers. But, one company that originally was interviewing me for Tech Lead decided to make the offer as a Senior Position. They argued I only had about six years of "experience" and that this tenure was not enough for Lead Positions.

I explained that I had just over ten years. Still, they arbitrarily decided that those four years of Jr/Regular were not worth enough to be considered as "real" experience.

So, I took the other offer. Which not only valued my whole career, it was also a better deal.
